Volunteer FAQs

What do volunteers do? There are many ways for parents and family to get involved with KES throughout the year. There are committees who oversee individual initiatives (learn more about those here). These are parents who work directly with the PTO board to organize and prepare for events throughout the school year, like organizing teacher appreciation breakfasts or school beautification events. There is also opportunity to help during specific events, like Kingsley Derby or the book fair.

How much of a time commitment is it? You can do as much or as little as you like. Even if you have 15 minutes a week to help out, it makes a HUGE difference.

What if I am unable to volunteer during school hours? Completely understandable! Many of our PTO board and committee members are working parents who do most of their volunteer time outside of school hours. If and when we do require support during school, we aim to give parents plenty of time to adjust their schedules as needed.

I'm not sure of my schedule, but want to volunteer. What can I do? Fill out the form below and you will be added to the PTO general volunteer database. We will reach out to this group with more specifics when opportunities are available.

How else can I get involved? Read the newsletter and follow the KES PTO on social to stay up to date on what's happening at the school. If something is happen that sounds interesting and you want to help, reach out to the PTO.
